More and more at work, I’m assuming responsibility with our community outreach efforts.  And I love it.  I couldn’t be happier about it.  I’m planning events, getting to meet new people, flexing my communications muscles.

This morning I had a breakfast meeting for one of the great organizations my company as a whole supports.  While at the breakfast, a big, charismatic man got up to speak.  His energy filled the ballroom.  And he said something that I can’t get out of my head.  It’s so simple, and it rings so true to me.

If you feel that you’re living a blessed life, be a blessing to others.

Basically, pay it forward.

My life is great.  It’s really, truly great.  I’m hugely lucky in nearly every aspect of my existence.  I know it and I’m grateful for it.  Time to pay it forward.

Speaking of my blessings, it’s Allan’s birthday.  He is the source of the goodness in my life.
